Motoro Tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
eric, may i once again suggest the ray only tank? it may drive you nuts but your expensive rays would be happy and alive

A couple years for sure maybe alot longer depending on how they develop. I have 5 motoros all about 2 years in the same tank fed the same thing. They range from 10" to 17" and I'm sure there are other people that had bigger and smaller rays at 2 years

Nitro, a ray only tank would drive me up the walls. I could start it as a ray only but sooner or later there will we other fish in it.

Thanks skynoch, I would think when they get to 20" disc diameter it is time to start looking for a 4' wide tank :D

They are usually sold at about 5" diameter :D

Oh and BTW can I add new rays to the tank is there has been ones in there allready?

yes you can. but the key is, quarantine, quarantine, quarantine.....

you could add larger fish to the tank once the rays get larger. a silver aro would be an ideal choice.

What do arrowanas run down under?

$250 aussie dollar for a silver arowana
$3000+ for a black arowana
$600 to $8000 for asian arowanas (greens are cheapest)

Bloody hell im glad i dont live in aus with fish that expensive. I thought that £800-1250 for a leopoldi was a lot of money but $40,000 WHAT!!!
