Aww, mine had a similar underbite mark when I got it, and since it was pretty much colorless, I thought it was sick. A week later, he was almost as pretty as my previous one.

They mark easily in my experience, but they heal just as easily. Sad yours didn't make it.

Don't give up though, they're the puppy of fish keeping, worth the detour.

Don't let it discourage you from trying again, it's unfortunate, but we can't save them all, we can only hope to save as many as we can
