Ok so I would like an opinion from any one who has been or lives or lived in either place! I have been accepted to UTI and am debating if I should make the move from Colorado to either Rancho Cucamonga or Orlando Florida! I have been to orlando a few times and had great times but I am a mountain man at heart and love to ski! I know either place is way different then my small mountain town and would love some input!

I lived in Orlando area... I like it there. I moved and miss it a lot. It has a mix of stuff. The city, which isnt much there are things to do and what not and there is the city. There is also a lot of open land a little to the east of orland othat is pretty nice if you like perfer land and country type area. Good fishing, nice weather, cool places to visit, lots of attractions, clean beaches that are warm water, seems relaxing. I dunno but I like it. I personally wouldnt move to the west side of orlando (has its nice parts but that seems to be where the crime likes to be) .. I would look somewhere like winter park/oviedo/altamonte springs/ maitland areas they are nice (nice, not just rich people areas).

Never lived on the west coast but I was in Orlando for a few years. I miss the Central Fl music scene (lots of metal) and Fl in general is nice if you like outdoors. Wekiva springs is really convenient from Orlando and its a nice little spot. Flat as all get out though. The closest thing to a mountain Fl has is right outside of Orlando though. The only skiing you'll get down here involves a boat.
Oh and Ash, of all the ghetto neighborhoods Ive lived in the only time Ive ever been attacked with a weapon was in Winter Park lol.

I would have said Orlando Florida, because its warmer.. but if ur a mountain man and u love to ski...

Then Rancho Cucamonga is the place to be.. I'm about 20 mins away from Rancho.. and its only another 1.5 hour to Mountain High Ski resort... OR u can go to Mammoth Ski ...... these are the best places in California for skiing.... We've recently had a full week of rain and there is about ~20inches of snow more than usual....

Anyways.. if u like the warmer party exotic atmosphere.. Orlando is a nice place....

But Rancho u can still ski...

Thank you all! ASH I was planning on moving to winter park lol and how ironic I live in winter park colorado...I would love more information on orlando! I am going to need a job also so If you guys know of anything let me know!

only problem with florida all the cool fish we cant have.
Thats true. No wolffish, only silver aros, no freshwater rays, and a few more.

I think FL is much more lienent on our fish species then Cali is... they have more restrictions then us.

Yeah I am from Winter Park =] I like the part near oviedo though. What do you want to know about it?

Jobs.... well what type of pay you looking to get? I can tell you theme parks will be the easiest place to get a job. I did life guarding and the pay wasnt great but it was decent to what most part time jobs pay and you can get hours (I can give you the job listing sites for where I work if you want, I like where I work.). Resturaunts are the next easiest places out side of that finding a job, like anywhere is hard. Things here seem to be pretty cheap from talking to friends who live elsewhere.

I've been sending out resumes like hotcakes. Only been to one interview so far, along with over 100 other people.. Kinda sucks. I've been living out of a suitcase for almost 3 months now. I dont even have a 10 gallon to my name anymore. But I still have a place in my heart for Florida.

Never looked in Winter Park though. It's a bit far from the Lake Mary SSC campus.
