I would need a second job just to feed them.

Thats an understatement. lol The cost of feeding has actually gone down a little due to the losing of half my cats to an unfortunate disaster. Right now though they eat in a week...

2 lbs tilapia fillets
2 lbs shrimp
8.8 oz bag of large hikari staple pellets
3 oz bag of algae wafers
and about 2 handfuls of massive pellets, Im not sure how much that is. lol

I switch up what I feed daily but I always feed the staple and wafers. I also feed about 2 to 3 bananas and some lettuce for the pac during the week. I occasionally throw some guppies in there for the peacocks and oscars to chase.

Have you tried using commercial trout and/or catfish pellets? I know you can buy them from tractor supplies or have them order it for you. Also for the fish like the goldies, Pacus, and silver dollars you can buy large bags of ground beets which would be a nice supplement to their diet. Most feed stores will sell it for livestock. I am just thinking of ways to possibly bring down the prise of food for your fish.

Thanks. Ill look into those.:)

just out of curiousity, have you ever thought of making a giant pond??? i figured because you live in austin you could make a pond for all the koi and goldfish and other cold waters and save space in your 700 and other tanks for warm water rescues
