My older brother used to arm wrestle for fun. He was pretty strong at it. People used to do hawk fingers over the thumb move thinking it'd work. I used to think it worked lol
Hawk's son in the movie attended Cal state San bernardino in real life. Had a class with my brother. He told me some dudes used to make fun of him because he cried so much in the movie

Yeah,and I'll mention this here because I don't think Sumo will mind it but the place where I saw it years ago was a neighborhood theater.It was called the Capital and it is where I first saw a lot of martial arts flicks for the first time.
