I imagine someone more gruff or burly than Cruise...This already reminds me of what they did to the Earl Swagger character in the movie Shooter which was adapted from Stephen Hunter's Point of Impact..totally changed the character.

Vin diesel might work but I'm not so sure about the The Rock. He works better than Tom though! But I will hold my breath and hope for the best.
