I moved him.. He was not happy. I first started with a net.. It hust wore him out. Then I scooped him out with a 30 gallon tote and moved him to his new home.. He is fine and healthy.. Thank goodness

I used a t-shirt as well to move my 18" rck to another tank (hes friendly enough I moved him over with my hand then lifted him out). For transport though a large cooler or tote as stated will work fine. Just remember to strap the lid down for the trip and treat him as any new addition to the tank once hes ready to go back in.
