Hey all. First post for me.

I take delivery of a 135 gallon frameless tank (72X18X24) on Thursday. Transporting it home is not an issue, but moving it downstairs (2 landings with 90 degree corners) is. The question is, if I build a plywood box, lined in 1" foam around the tank, do you think it would be alright to stand the tank on end to make the corners?

It is the only way I can figure out how to get it down the ruddy stairs. Help me out please.

^ agreed as long as there are strong people there to help you

Yeah, I have lots of manpower. Thanks for the affirmation of my plan guys. It has been weighing heavy on my noggin for a while.

good luck with the move hope it works in one shot :)

On another note, the stand is built, the sump is built, all the plumbing supplies are waiting.

I plan on stocking it with mbuna. I can't wait!

that'll be a rad african tank bro. def keep us updated

I will do just that. I have postponed picking up the tank until Saturday because of work committments, but after that, it is all guns blazing!. Saturday, I will paint the back glass. Then put the tank on the stand and start plumbing for the sump and UGJ system. Good times!
