Moving my 2 RTCs to new 550 g tank

My 2 RTCs became two large for the current tank so I moved them to their home, a 550 us gallon tank. The new tank established 10 weeks back is cycled and ready to house the 2 cats.
The RTCs are around 18'' & 16'' in size and they will share the tank with 20'' gar.

They are enjoying I can tell by how they swim around the tank.

Great news and good to hear from you. Looks like they've grown ~2" each... in what time frame? Last you posted they were 14" and 16"?

Clearly the smaller one has been bullied a bit in the old tank - his fins are tattered. Remember to keep up on WCs and they should blossom in their new home.

I made the last measurement out of the tank so I guess I underestimated their size by 2'' earlier. Yes the smaller RTC was bullied, but he will be fine now I hope.

No they are not. It's hard to breed RTCs in captivity.
