Not sure if you guys saw my recent thread about losing my girl but this is pretty much a 'what happened after'.

So I ended up selling all my fish to a LFS because I really had no motivation to do anything at all for the past few days. I will probably sell my tanks (55 & 40) because I simply want to move on with my life and I can't keep spending money on this hobby right now, ill jump into it when I can afford it.

Losing my ex really has shown me that I need to grab the reins on life and better myself. Starting tomorrow I'm going to the gym again (she thought working out was a "waste of time") and start saving up to move out of my parents house (I constantly bought both our meals etc.). I'm excited to move on with my life.

Thanks for everyone on my last threat for the words of support, it really ment a lot. Ill leave you guys with some pretty good quotes I heard from friends/family over the past few days.

"The best way to get over a b**** is to stop acting like one"

"Don't waste your thoughts thinking about someone who likely is not thinking about you."

Some good advice and glad to see you're moving on. You're sounding a whole lot better already and there'll be loads of girls in the future so best of luck with it

shes sounds terrible anyway. she should be making or buying you food. once i heard she thought lifting or exercising is a waste, she just lost all value and would have been dumped, if she didnt buy or make you good food, then keep her for that.

lol, even beex is giving good advice.

good luck in the future man, def get out of the parents house. no wonder she left

maybe store the tanks though or atleast keep the hoods/lights. you can alway replace those tanks again with the dollar per gallon sale (up to 55 gallons) later at petco but they don't come with hood/lights

Yea man Ive been there, there's a million fish in the sea, and you know the relationship isn't healthy when you rely soley on another person for happiness!

Call up the old buds you likely lost when you got ur gf go out with them have a few beers and get back on with life, too short to get down over a b!

You should keep one tank tho! And most importantly keep urself busy! Gl

So many times after big breakups we think that the person we just lost is the only person who couldmake us happy good to see your better and realizing that this isnt the truth. Go workout and eat healthy youll feel better and be able to overcome other obstacles you get. Spend your time with family and good friends, and have fun, enjoy yourself and loved ones company. Its normal to feel sad about losin somone youve spent so mjch time with and developed a relationship. And yes mfk will be here when you get back into the hobby, believe me its a great hobby and you will want to

good to see your going back to the things that realy matter and hopefully you'll be back with us soon but couldn't put that better myself:ROFL:

These things happen. I came home 3 weeks ago to find that my wife of 5 years had left. You have to be like a shark and only move foreward.
