I am going to move my GATF tonight......

He is around 13-14". any tips to move him safely. he is just moving from one tank in the garage to one into the house... different water systems, about the same temperature.

I have a rubber net, concerned the holes could be to large for him, but may be fine... they are always bigger out of the tank than you think.

just want to make this transition as safe as possible.

Never done this for GATF but I would just drain the tank as much as you can and remove any decorations in it. I am sure the biggest worry will be them jetting into something and killing themselves.

I wonder if they react to being caught as violently as armatus do?
I would lower the water level in the tank to about half and darken the garage as much as possible a few hours before the goliath is to be moved. That way it should be in or very near a sleeplike state and shouldn't put up as much of a fight when you capture it.Have a transport container on hand and move it to it's new quarters. That is how I have gone about moving my bigger and troublesome fish.

If i was u I'd use a big fish bag, doubled up for security! Nets and such can be very hard on them.them and their teeth can get stuck in them. Use fish bags, drop the water level and i believe ur good to go!

He already moved the fish.
