After the last trip, the bug has finally sunk in, and time to move where the cichlids are.
So I must get rid of everything fish, tanks, plants, whatever

For anyone interested in my fish, or tanks, I'm posting things for sale in the NE Central part of the market place PM me for specifics

Wow. Good luck. That's some devotion to your fish!

By the way, the move is about 6 months away (Sept) so I'm holding on to some to the bitter end, in case I get lucky and they spawn. Here are a few of my favorites.
Theraps lentiginosum

Astatheros rostratum

even a none cichlid or 2

rest gotta go

Wow!

Good luck, Duane!

Where exactly, if you don't mind disclosing?

Are central american cichlids popular in the aquarium trade in the place where your planning to move or their just like trout and salmon where you see them sold by the pound in the wet market ?

Inland, cichlids are part of the normal diet, ocean side you see ocean species like corvina. Don't know about the aquarium trade yet, most of the things I've seen locals keep for pets, are birds (love birds and other small parrots (which seem to be the local version of our "watch dogs",they make a lot of noise whenever guests show up)) and lizards, doubling as pest control.

My plan is to set up a tank after settling in, and catch some of my favorite cichlids of the area, if I'm lucky, Tomocichla asfraci and tuba, Geophagus crassilabris, and some of the Astatheros of the area.
The house I've put money on has internet already.
