I like the idea of hard plumbing the Ehime to the tank! not a bad idea at all!

Is that a Dick Tracy watch?

ps. I would probly try a pillow case if you don't have a big enough net but the pipe thing works really good if he likes to get into one.

Thanx..... dr.. I actually made up my mind and going to lower the water and use a big wet sheet try to get it under de lung and just lift it out and dump him in his new tank. I'm planning on running the tank for a week with his old tank water. Then run some tests on the water if everyting is o.k. I'll do the transfer. I'll try to get some pics of it.

p.s. noop no Dick Tracy...it's a NIXON Dictator. you can record and play memo's

Well the transfer is completed I hooked up the second ,,temporary" filter to the 1st tank.
Lowered the waterlevel in the Old tank. and used a big sock to coop the lung out. And to my surprice without any strugle the lung did not move and I could just scoop it in the sock and dump it in the new tank.....here some pics lung incl my baby girl.

That's a nice lung!

I used a big net to scoop and dump mine into a waiting 18g Rubbermaid with about 6" of water. I put the lid on, carried it to the new tank (tub actually) and dumped him in. He was pretty calm about the whole procedure...much less so than a big bichir that I also moved.

The point was to minimize the chance of losing a finger :)

wow! thats a big one!

Thanx Jeffrey..yes it is an Albino it does have red eyes (real small) and the tanks are a little under 200 if im correct (750 liter). I made up the Idea for the Carnisters on the spot. I knew I had to make sone changes because in the old situation my lung kept disconnecting the inlets. I went to this place where they have a lot of PVC and just tought out the plan there. But I'm sure I'm not the first one who did this.
I have a koi pond background so I'm used to working with PVC.
But it was hell getting the Canisters to run.

The dolloi is still not settled in. The first night he ate all of his home made feeder fish. And still ate the day after. But stopped eating for the last 3 days. Usually it's just active at night. (Starts at 6 PM) but now it is active all day long. Checking out the tank and swimming allot. Did a 50% water change 2 days ago. In order to fill the lower tank. He seems to hate water changes.
Even in his old tank he would eat less after a big water change. (Nothing wrong with the tab water here).
