nice....love the lighting explanation on the planted tanks!

I want one of those juruenses.

aquaticdreams: No idea, I've seen that catfish before online somewhere I know, thought it was on a japanese site but I can't seem to find it right now, hopefully someone will chime in and ID it, if not I'll make a thread to ID it later this week because I wanna know also.

Those fronts are pretty nice, the owner has some adults in the back in a big open top pond that used to be in a 350 gallon display up front along with some other large african cichlids. I didn't take any other pics of the main part of the store but they also have a nice selection of tanks and probably the best product selection of any store I've ever been to including stores that carry way better fish like Pets Inc in Phoenix. Sometime next year they should have complete adding tanks inset in the wall on 1 side like Dallas North Aquarium with big tanks like 180 gallon+.

Dacox: yeah it was a sweet find especially at that price, I had been trying to get the owner to bring in lots of other nice SA cats like juruense, tigrinus, planiceps, etc but he only carried TSN, Lima's, and then really small RTC's on occasion for the longest time. The last rarish catfish he had was a baby marble pim and I bought him also :) But after talking to him this weekend he now has the space for some of those higher end amazon fish so they should be frequenting the store more often.

Gr8Karma: the plant tanks were sick, its really good to finally see them carrying nice plants and lots of them, if I hadn't already blown a ton of money on catfish this week I woulda spent about $100 on varioius anubias they had because they were huge already and had nice roots. ~Trent

somewhat of a rant but the coolest fish I've seen there personally are SAL, Marble Cat, Juruense, big archer fish like 7", trumpet knifefish around 10", mbu puffers, arrowhead puffers, fahakas, ornate bichir, and then lots of rare sw stuff way to much to list

the rtc looks so innocent at that size.

But this is why I want my SW back up

Yeah he almost does until you realize theres a red tail shark his size sticking out of his mouth already :) Taz that fish is the reason I want a SW tank period, I just want to stock it with different specie of Lionfish for the most part and maybe one or two other SW preds ~Trent
