Here is my 75G planted tank. Am in the process of setting up a 220 to give my loaches room to grow. Yes this one is overcrowded, I just pay more attention to it...:nilly:

doesnt really look overcrowded. but anyways pretty cool!

Only 6 so far. Will be adding more once the 220 is set up.
Also have:
1 5 Bar Cichlid
3 Odessa barbs
8 Tiger & Mossy Barbs
4 Cory Cats (2 peppered & 2 Green)
8 Assorted Rainbows
1 Gibboceps Pleco
1 Bristlenose Pleco
a handfull of Japonica & Japanese schrimp (not sure how many are left, because only the biggest haven't become midnight snacks, and they usually don't come out until after I go to bed)

Looks okay. More plants and a black background would look nice.
How much light do you have? Looks like a T5 fixture, 1 bulb or two?

1 Actnic bulb and 1 18K bulb, T5 Fixture

I am painting the 220 Black, I agree that they look better than a background. My daughter wanted to have a shark coming at the tank as the background, had to explain that I wanted to keep the fish not scare them to death.

When I recycle this tank into a Reef I will be painting it too.

Thanks for the positive comments everyone. So far all the inhabitants are relatively happy and carefree. Have spent hours in front of the tank relaxing and of course fallen asleep many many times! Hopefully the 220 works out really well. Taking my time with building the stand right now, and of course slowly buying the required hardware so that it doesn't break the bank all at once.

After having this one for a year or so now, I have to say that with a planted tank a black background would bring the plants out so much better. I have a Fire sword waiting for me at my LFS right now. Cannot wait to get it into the new tank.
