My family computer has been hit with a couple variations of this. All you really have to do is restart and get your actual antivirus scan running before the virus takes over and it'll clean it out.

the virus, excluding this case that i just fixed, changed the connect settings so you need to go into IE and update the proxy settings back to "nothing" or the "dont use proxy" option or what ever.

Combofix will take care of this
Then run malwarebytes to pick up any remnants and if you know how to use hijackthis, then most likely there are a few entries that need to be removed.

I have removed this virus on windows xp pro,vista,and windows 7. Each os was a different process to remove. I've never had a virus I couldn't remove yet.

Go into safe mode with networking
Go into your application data folder and delete the folder that looks like this
keWFD4543FFkdsfs with a .exe inside thats the same name

the keW thing is actually random, so you'll have to just look, however it will be the only random one, the rest will be like .mozilla, and itunes and stuff
i spent like an hour trying to remove this crap yesterday morning with no luck so far. it's a pain since it's changed some of the personal settings
