First of all what a beautiful pattern!
By the sound of many peoples reaction to this kind of mutation you could be forgiven for thinking this type of thing is more desirable than a perfect fish, for me its a shame its been born this way and although this fault will not hinder the ray in any way regarding its health surely it is devalued because of it........or is it indeed worth more? Will be interesting to hear others views.

I personally don`t like this kind of deviation. In a way it is very fascinating, but at the same time it`s a shame some rays are born like that.

A thing that is a bit typical when it comes to humans: as long as we are visually pleased by malfunctions in animals we breed, it some times doesent matter if the animal it self is handicapped and maby even suffer from it. Look at some of the cats and dogs "we" have made :screwy: (i am not saying this particular ray necessarily is suffering btw).

Anyway, some times this happen, and this is obviously not the worst case out there... Is it worth to take good care of this ray? Yes. Is it worth more money than a normal ray? Not in my world.
But fact is of course, - the price is decided by the market.
