"glass bangers" were common place here not too long ago.....no reason to not enjoy that part of the hobby...within reason of course. 1 glass banger per tank is more than fine if u know what ur doing. keep what u like despite todays nay sayers and enjoy it.
THis is something I struggle with.
I referred to my "small tank" the other day, and my coworker was astonished when I was talking about a 150. Most people won't consider a goonch, I have two. I've recently bought a 550, but I already want a bigger tank so I can have a piraiba for life.

The people at my school are rather suprised when I refer a 4 foot tank as "small". They're not wrong, 4 feet is nothing to sneeze at but at the same time it's barely anything for the fish I want.
When my wife picked up our 75 gal at the store for me, the guy there asked what size tank we’re upgrading from.
She said the guy’s face was priceless when she told him it’s going to be our small grow-out tank...
