Is there any source for Necturus maculosus online? My group need some for a pollution/reproduction study. We have permits to collect them from the wild but I figured it be better for the conservation of the species to get captive ones
Thanks i figured I'd just double check with the mfk community hahaAfter a bit of research it seems not, and all you may find in shops selling amphibians are all wild caught, hope that helps![]()
over 25 years of Reptile expos and a Mudpuppy is one of the ones I never saw for saleThanks i figured I'd just double check with the mfk community haha
I'm guessing no one knows of any vendors? Or people on here?
How about a Hellbender?over 25 years of Reptile expos and a Mudpuppy is one of the ones I never saw for sale
The mud puppies are also native, hence the special collection permit. The permit we got also covers the collection of hellbendersnot in PA....no natives
even collecting from the wild, it's like finding a needle in a haystack and if you DO find a place that has a healthy population of either - Don't tell ANYONE where it is, except PAFBC. As soon as people know about it, it won't be a very healthy population anymore. The mud puppies are also native, hence the special collection permit. The permit we got also covers the collection of hellbendersBut with the the limited space we're working with that be a bit hard
