i was wondering if there was anyone here who has any multi pleco aquariums and if so, which plecos and what size tank? lol after discovering that plecos are pretty interesting creatures, I GOTTA CATCH THEM ALL! PLECOMON! :headbang2

thanks

In honesty... any really. You give enough space and enough decent hiding spots and the worlds your oyster. There may be some no-no's like some of the big agressive types with small placid types, and sometimes multiple males of certain species don't work out great, but it's easier for you to choose a few and ask if that combination would work- rather than us make a gigantic list of what you could keep together. What tank size do you have would be important info also.

oops silly me :) i guess i should've went more in depth. well right now, i don't have any aquarium. of all the fish i've owned, i've never had any plecos so this is all new to me. i guess i could do research but i know how much the mfkers love to teach!

lets start off simple. 2 common plecos. how would they do? what size tank assuming adequate filtration and all that stuff.

what about a common and a green phantom? or red flame?

and my final combo:

gypsy king tiger
bushy nose
starry night

the final combination is what i actually want. i'd like to put them in a 125 if acceptable. i'm all of a sudden in love with these guys! help me out teachers :)

I've got a 75 gallon with a 5-6 inch lemon spotted, three small L182 starlight bristlenose, three 3-4 inch L134 leopard frog, and a 4-5 inch royal. I have got a few plants, a big peice of drift wood and many caves and I bet I could even put another trio in there comfortably. If you want a lot of plecos, do some research and find some smaller species that breed, and if you got maybe 4 or 5 trios in a 120with enough hiding places and caves for sure, you might even end up with some babies.

Well, in my 46, I've got 4 L399/400s (4" ea), 3 L333s ( 2" ea), 1 L254 (4"), 1 L015 (4"), and 1 ABN (3"0, and they all get along just fine. And just for good measure, I've got 3 farlowella acus in there, too ! Good luck with yours.

In my 90 I have a six inch L-114-pseudocanthicus leoparadus-cactus pleco. 5 inch rubberlipped and waitng for the shipping to come in of my new L-24 flame pleco. I have 5 adult goephagus Altrifons in there with them. They all get along great. The l-114 does run the tank sometimes though.

ive always wanted to imlimentmy pleco in every tank rule but havent been able to. only plecos right now are two bristlenose and albino and a regular long fin in my 29g. i my goal is

rubber lip - 20g
king tiger , gold seam, or glodie for 55g
gold nugget for 29g
clown pleco for 20gl
and a xingu royal for the 125g but hes gonna need to e gron out first :)

120 with chocolate albino, albino gibby, royal, adonis
56 with mango, rubberlip
37 with peppermint, gn.

currently i have a clown, unknown hypostomus, and an adonis.

in the past ive had a rhino and a gibby.

rhino, gibby, and H. plecostomus.

Clown and A. claro.

i think thats all the combos ive had.
