So I was changing the water in 2 of my tanks and I got hungry all of a sudden. So I decided to cook dinner while I change my water :wall: It wouldn't be bad if I have a microwavable pizza or something, but I decided on Grilled Rosemary Chicken and Risotto. I'm making risotto when I realized that it's time to fill my tanks. I decided to fill the smaller tank first...again:wall: I went back to making Risotto. If anyone out there knows about risotto, you can't really take your eyes off that. Basically, I was trying to do 2 things that require you to pay attention! So the next thing you know...there's water all over the carpet! AAARGH!!! I'm an idiot! So the lesson here is...have frozen pizza for dinner if you're going to do water changes:shakehead

I was doing a large water change on my pond in basement yesterday and i always drain it before i fill it so i started to drain it (it usually takes about 45 minutes to drain 1/3 the water) well i was waiting and i started watchig a movie with my girl well two hours later i go to take the trash out and hear my big pump sucking air thats when i remembered that i was partially draining the pond so i run downstairs and there is only 12" of water in the pond so instead of a 30% waterchange i did a 75% waterchange yesterday which took about 3 hours to refill it back full I am lucky that i caught it in time

Also, don't eat fast food when doing water changes, because then you have stomach cramps and have to run to the can, same result.

I did a water change on the show tank at work, put the python in the sump, and then went back to turn it on and work in the back room. I came out five minutes later and the python was empyting on the floor! OOPS

I went to walgreens last night to pick up my sons prescription meds while filling up
the tank. As long as youre aware, you should be good. But yeah , ive had my share
of overflow disasters back then.
