Multifasciatus Shell dwelling Cichlid tank mates?

I miss my Cyprichromis Leptosoma "Utinta"... I'm lucky... I found mine for 7 bucks each... and they reproduced once for me in the time that I had them... One thing I noticed with Cyps and Shell Dwellers is that the shell dwellers rarely actually use the shells in the presence of the Cyps... at least in my case... so if you're looking for natural behaviour is is very unlikely that it'll happen when they aren't breeding

Cichlids.net has Utinta right now for $8

I also didn't think of one fish... Goby Cichlid from Tanganyika as well... Eretmodus/Spathodus/Tanganicodus... Very Comical and sometimes brighter colored fish

Gobies will inhabit the same tank space as your multies. The idea is to get fish that will use other parts of the tank. I have my multies in a 110 with cyps, 'Lamprologus' caudopunctatus, and lamprologus minutus.

Maybe you could get some gold head compressiceps. they are fun to watch, they might eat shell dweller fry but the adults are safe
