Aim the outflows in different directions to circulate the tank and eliminate dead spots, and it shouldn't be a issue.

Roots still grow out the basket, my fish aren't really interested in the roots. Either way a 10$ investment for a lifetime deduction of 10-20ppm nitrate is good in my book, they work in sumps too

Thanks everyone!! F1 going to get the stuff this weekend. One question I could not find on post, the room my tank in gets quite allot of sun does this plant do ok with Sunlight probably more than half the day?
