I'm looking for 1 timer to control 2 lights. 2 T5 54W lights, so it's not like I'm looking for an industrial strength unit...
I've been looking at dual outlet digitals but haven't found one that controls each outlet separately.
I have found a dual analog timer/powerstrip, but I'm not paying 35$ for something that is essentially 2 6$ timers in one plastic housing. I'd rather have the 2 separate timers since the synchronization issues would be the same, only cheaper.
I need 2 hours on for the first lamp then off, followed by 4 hours on for the second lamp then off, and 2 hours on for the first lamp again before all lamps turn off for the night.
I did find some pool timers that might work but I'm not spending that much. 1-4 hundred dollars? please.
it's looking like 2 timers are my best available choice.
any thoughts?

The only timers I have found that you describe(yeah-I was looking into the same thing) have been built into the fixture.

I have found the dual timer, but it's a on for day and the other set of plugs is on for night.

Syncing aside, 2 normal timers are your best bet. Stick with the digital ones, they should be easier to keep in sync.

I've been looking for the same thing and have yet to find something like that yet.

Any reason you can't just go buy two cheap little timers from a hardware store and run them on a powerstrip?

nope, in fact there's no way I'm going to be able to avoid it.:irked: unless you've got a better idea?
