Hi all,

Having problems breeding my convicts... first, I want to emphasize that I am 100% sure its a male/female. Tank size: 30g; Tankmates: None

Anyhoo, before I had a male that would beat the crap out of the female...so i changed the male into something else and NOW hes getting beat out from the FEMALE! :nilly:

Ive had them for over a month...tried everything; lower temp, bump up temp, all different types of food. Tried to put on some Marvin ***e in the background and poured a few cans of beers :naughty:...NOTHING!!!

My question is, would i increase my odds if I add another 2-3 pairs in there? I am going to use them as feeders... Its quite frankly frustrating, considering that Ive seen babies at a WALMART tank!

if they are not mature adults (you didnt list thier size) it may help to add some more and let them pair of naturally instead of forcing a relationship.

throw some more in there, let them pair naturally, and take back the ones that aren't paired up. They will breed like rabbits in no time

I would add 2 or 3 more females. also how is your water quality?

just get another male and 1-2 more females and let them pair off.. even in my 75 with 30 cons they still manage to pair off and breed... lol
