I'm not set on doing this, it's just an idea. Idk, I think it's a waste of space(24 inches tall) for a sand boa... But I really want a sand boa. lol.

Might be the perfect size tank for doing a desert vivarium for a sand boa. Get a tall yucca, aloe or sanservia species, or maybe a jade plant to fill in the vertical space. you could also do a really cool sloped rocky hillside with dried spinifex like grasses tucked between the rocks or some smaller succulents spotted through there. Might as well have a planted tank to look at since sand boas hide all the time.

What would be the best incadescent lights for growing plants? I have two holes ontop of the tank that will be fitted with dome + sockets. I've got a green house around here that I can visit for plants.

Anoles are not desert species.....
Intentionally placing an animal in such an incorrect habitat for your enjoyment is akin to animal cruelty unless it's soul purpose to be eaten (then it's getting eaten so it doesn't really matter)
Snakes do not make for good community vivs because snakes are opportunistic feeders and will usually take advantage of whatever living thing is there if they can get their mouths around it...and even someone times when they can't. There are very few exceptions to the rule...such as rough green snakes.... these are most commonly used in community vivs because they are insect eaters and don't bother larger geckos or lizards (not to say they wouldn't take a snap at young ones)
best bet is to follow Toblers advice and just do a nice desert viv..... or get a different animal for that tank...
