Hey all, my Munba’s are just starting to have fry, I can see couple of baby Labs darting in and out of my rocks, my Acie is holding too. Question: I have a 90g with lots of rock work, some small java fern and around 20 fish, what are the chances of fry survival with no intervention? I know it’s a question not easily answered.

This thread is also in the Breeding forum, I’m not sure if double posting is considered proper etiquette here, please let me know. Thanks Sean

near to nill i would say what i do is to remove the female after 10 days and put her into a sperate tank and will leave her in there for between 15-30days to get her to spit and also to get her weight back up to normal.

Yea, that's what I thought. I'm not willing to setup another tank at this point (or setup breeder boxes or seperators, so I guess I'll let nature take its course.

I have a 120 similar to yours with a few more fish, and I have about 45-50 fry doing fine and 10-20 that are over an inch. It is a mixed tank with enough rocks they will be fine. Not all will live but a lot in time.

It all depends on the species. I have Demasoni that are breeding at just over an inch. My yellow labs don't seem to breed until they are closer to 2.5" or bigger. Same with my Hongi they didn't start breeding until they were almost full grown.
