I put in my pond a little over 2 years ago. I have it well filtered and circulated. But I did not clean the bottom until this Spring. Doh! I first treated it with Pond Worx which made the water cloudy. I then removed more than a wheel barrel full of leaves, pine needles and silt. But I removed them with a net and did not drain the pond. I have done a few partial water changes since but the water has remained murky.

It’s about 4,000 gallons. Deepest point is 4 1/2 feet. I live in Atlanta. I doubt it’s over populated - mostly Koi, a few sunfish, but it’s not far away from overpopulated as the Koi are growing like weeds.

What needs to be done to restore clarity?

A u.v. sterilizer might help clear the water, though koi love to dig and will stir the bottom up. What filters are you using ?
