if the problem is green water i suggest adding some floating plants will absorb excess waist and help block some of the light needed by the algae . always best to try natural methods over chemicals if that fails get a bunch of hay , stuff it into tights and add it to the pond or filter helped me ride my pond of green water .

If you can limit the amount of light getting to the pond for 72 hours as well, my 220 gal did this so i shut all the lights off for 3 days and ran a uv and it was crystal clear after..
