I also got a new cod ( >2") and he eats already pellets (ok I have to break it in 2-3 pieces) the pellets are move in the currnt and as soon the cod see anything moving he will attack. so you can start pellets early.

another thin how long does it take till i can put him to an 20cm tandanus without getting the risk the tandanus will eat him?

To be safe maybe 16 cm, but to be honest I'd be worried about the catty getting hurt,lol.

when i first got my murray cod he was about 5cm and i put him in with a 30cm rendahls and 2 18cm synodontis and he was fine. as long as you put a few hiding places he should be right

Anyone in Australia buying Murray Cod from a hatchery or do most of you get them from lfs?

LFS here finally got in murrays so now i have my first one .He would be about 5-6 cm a bit shy but loves bloodworms and i'm sure a couple of the small blue eyes and mosquito fish that are in the 3' I have put him in.
Would like to get him on pellets .What would be the best type ??

Just your normal protein pellets will do for him, you know the ones that they feed dam barra? those are best.
