I just started listening to Dir En Grey last week, not sure what I'd classify them as but they're pretty damn good.

I think there Visual Key or something like that, Like japanese shock rockers, haha i have a few of there tracks though.

I mostly listen to Psychobilly/Rockabilly, Punk, Metal, Death Metal, Viking Metal, Folk Metal, Industrial, some other stuff too, but its mostly the first four that I listen to most.

I don't think anyone said "they're the most punk band evar!!" They're punk/pop. It is what it is. They're not trying to be hardcore.

The funny thing about Green Day is they're anti-g.bush/war and yet they're so commericalized when it comes to media because of they're early popularity.

You can say who you want is punk I guess but the truth is 75% of people who listen to hardcore punk/ska/independant and b$tch and moan about how other groups aren't really punk or are trying to be something their not are the same people who aren't that hardcore themselves and wouldn't know punk if they stepped in it..

I picked up Dir En Grey's album Withering to Death, it's pretty damn good. Don't see how people can call these guys the Japanese My Chemical Romance though...

I listen to alot but bands I like enough to buy their CD... Nofx first and foremost.. Rise-Against, Anti-Flag, Chevelle, Metallica, Social D, Vision, Rancid, anything else which has a point to it.. actually Blink 182 is an old fav..

My most hated bands though are Nickelback and Buckcherry..
