Line 6 are ok... the one's i've played on and heard are too digital, they just don't sound true, neither do their pod 6 toys, and for the cheap one's they have two sounds, clean or distorted. A lot of the music I listen to calls for more dynamics and more amp settings, but for straight ahead metal and rock, line 6 are awesome.
Never heard a Marshall I liked...
Im not a big fan of Solid State. I really like the deeper, rich sound you get from tube amps.
i really like Hughes and Kettner, Hiwatt, Soldano. Big fan of celestion Vintage 30 speakers, greenbacks are alright as well. Not a fan of EMG's, i like Dimarzio over them, Seymore Duncan are ok... Bartolini pickups have a nice fat warm sound.

in most cases i like the sound of tube amps better, but for 500$(wat i have) the solid state line 6s are imo by far the best for heavy metal/shred. They hav a way heavier and fuller tone then any of the marshalls(for less than 1000$) ive played. I tried out the crates and they were better imo than the marshalls with similar prices but still didn sound as good as the line 6s. i havnt tried any expensive peaveys yet but i dont like the tone of the ones in my price range.

Go for a Randall trust me MUCH better than any Line 6 amp. They just blow away any other amp except marshall lol. I live for marshalls but I would have no problem playing a Randall on stage. Hughes & Kettner is another awesome amp manufacturer. I say if you want shred and nice deep metal tones Randall is the best. They are beasts and line 6 is like a puppy compared the grizzly bear Randall.
is 600$ a good price for this? if u think its worth the extra 100$ over a line 6 i guess ill save a lil more
i wanna try it out before i buy it so once i find a place that has one ill get it. i really dont like the way my guitar sounds on marshalls(especially the one i hav) so i hope theyr not too similar. heres a pic of my guitar just cus i think its so awesome

You asked for it you got it. The charvel is my baby but so is the 67' strat. I don't have a pic of my Ibanez because my sis took my camera but i will have one up soon.
