this thread is for the musicians you may have not heard or had forgotten we have lost in the past few years. I am not trying to top MJ or take away from the fact that he died. I just think that we only hear what the media thinks is important and some of you may not have heard of some of THESE musicians passing away. I will start with a couple

Miika Tenkula of the Finnish band Sentenced. Died 19.2.2009, found in his home. He had a horrible alcohol problem which only got worse after the disbanding of Sentenced.

Layne Staley of Alice in Chains succumbed to heroin addiction April 5, 2002, which eerily is the same date that fellow grunge rocker, Kurt Cobain passed away in 1994. Layne overdosed on heroin and was not discovered until days later....... much like Cobain
