Hey man, cant believe it, im from minnesota, i tell people that i like to fish for dogfish and they think im retarded. ive caught some monsters, i mean fricken monsters.
heres how i do it, number one, gotta have live frogs, number 2 you gotta go in the reeds, no boat no waiders nothin but a dip net, treble hook, rod and reel, bucket of frogs, look for 3 foot by 3 foot patchs cleared in the reeds, thats where the monsters lay, toss the frog in and look for the swirl, gotta use spider wire, normal fishline breaks, damn its a rush, no fish fights like a dogfish.

Go to the pet store and ask for 6-10 white feeder mice.
Place a rubber band around the torso of the mouse and place the hook under the band. Toss this bait out there and watch the water explode!
If your mouse gets tired you will have plenty of fresh swimmers availible.
