and peanut_power but he didn't answer the questions

:D

Just told me his age, ahahha and that he's part crenicichla

i completely agree with him (ewurm). someone on the radio quoted "is your religion really this weak, that people believe it is that negative it is going to harm the religion in any way" i saw a picture of the norweigen president/primeminister/hierarchy on a banner, with a pole going through the mouth and coming out the back of the head. below were a bunch of semi-automatic/full automatic weilding people with balaclavas. with "kill westerners" written in english on other smaller banners. a very good photograph that really captured what i thought, being- be offended sure, but end of the day- these are CARTOONS. i could not believe the hype they got, and an EXTREME overreaction to something so insignificant. Its not about what everyone believes in, its what you believe in that matters. i feel like this has become a rant, but really, were these cartoons really that offensive at all in a "modern age" where people "take the piss" out of everyone and everything

thanks davo, I guess I can decipher your response into the questions. Can you fill out the other part for me too.

For everyone who answers:

(This is optional, but if you can tell me what race you are too, that would be helpful, but it's not entirely relevant)

What are the perceptions and responses do you, in the U.S. and elsewhere in the world, have to these cartoons? - A cartoonists view of what he thought was funny, no big deal at all.

What do you think about these cartoons? - They weren't hillarious at all, moderately funny at best. Just cartoons.

How do you feel about the controversy surrounding them? - They put too much into symbolism. I.E. I love america, yet if someone burns a flag it doesn't make me love america less, destroying a cross, or posting pics of a profit doesn't change one's belief nor should it ever. If someone does something to "offend" you speak out against it (i.e. give your 2 cents), but there is no need for violence.

I want to know, your initials so names aren't necessary so I can refer to you in my paper. - D.J.M.

Where you live? - Fremont California

Are you male/female? - male

Are you young/old, how old are you? - 35

American citizen/resident or not? - yes

Your political views? - Not really fond of the current US 2 party system, have the feeling Dems and Reps have all sold out to Corperations. Also believe both parties are trying to take away rights, a revolution (non-violent preferably) is needed.

Your views on religion? - Daoist. - Everyone should be allowed to make their peace with god (if they choose to at all) on terms that work for them. Government has no place in religion.

Thank You Filthy Sanchez (just doesn't feel right saying that :grinno:). I've reached my quota but anybody who wants to answer. I'll be sure to add you into my paper as well.
