I don't get it, aren't Lungfish native to South America? That's like me catching an American Eel and selling it to the press as a "mutant fish"

Not that far-fetched. I've seen similar newspaper articles here about bowfin and glass lizards.

UPDATE,

Now its confirmed, its or was a lungfish. They still havent said what caused its mutations. When I hear about it, I'll post it.
