the bocourti behind it is 6 inches, and in the other pic. that red isletas is right around 9 inches..... just for size comparison

quick question for all of you umbee experts: does mine have a misshapen head? He always appears to be puffed up like he is getting ready to lock lips, or like he just swallowed a large pellet. He has been this way since I got him. I am worried that it may be from a previous injury or a birth defect, though it never stops it from eating/ swimming around, and I have never seen him show and aggression or get any aggression back to him. Maybe the pictures don't do it justice. If you need, I can post a video. thanks in advance for your thoughts
Was going to ask on that. He looks like that 24/7? if so I would say it looks like maybe his jaw is a bit dislocated of sorts or theres some kind of swelling in his throat from a previous injury.
i wouldn't say 24/7 but more like 12/7...... i notice it after he eats, and sometimes when he decides to swim quickly around the tank. there are times when he looks sleek and elegant, but most of the time he does appear to be puffed up like a bulldog.
more importantly, if you noticed it too (from the pictures) than it must be an old injury or a birth defect. maybe that's why i got him for so cheap hahaha
oh well, at least the four i got from you look perfect. and the biggest one is now around 3.5 inches. hoping that the 150 will help him grow up faster so i can get him into my big boy tank
