I Want the best for my vieja to help him grow and be strong is there someting i can do extra in his diet etc or is it good for now?
This is his diet now info: his diet is three different hikari pellets and two different frozen foods, i feed him twice a day and the frozen food only every second or third day.. I do a wc once a week of about 15%. my water quality is really good. my ph is a bit high at 8.5, last test i did was about 2 weeks ago.

I would do larger water changes. 15% isn't that much. Also, make sure your fish gets some veggies in his diet. Mine loves fresh zucchini.

I agree. If you're feeding him twice a day, then 15% water changes aren't enough. I'd do at least 50% WC every week.

I'd also add some vegetable to his diet too. You can always feed NLS pellets because those have vegetable matter in them. The Thera A pellets also have garlic extract and I feed those to my Viejas and they did well on those.

Very nice looking fish. The challenge you have there...photographically speaking....is that your camera is metering the white sand and not the fish. Try getting slightly below the tank so less of the sand shows and shoot again. ou should be able to get more detail and color that way without the reflection of light off the sand.
