the peru is asking do you know if he is a peruvian oscar or like a brazilian or something. and actually not all oscars are vicous, mine was a real sweety. he is a real beut though man

Really I dont know and sorry for the 11', 11" is the real deal, Mr Hyde ate a (let me get this right, lol) 6" dragon fish, so - might be because of space?????????? who knows

Heh. Yeah.

Many Oscars bear traits that indicate their point of collection, since every population has different potential traits from the next. Yours looks very much like most of the wild Peru Oscars I've seen. And a nice one at that! Great color on yours! Here's my Peru so you know why I think yours could be one:

Oscars usually aren't aggressive unless spawning or threatened. They are often bullied by more aggressive fish, in fact. But they do have a hungry streak and happily eat whatever they can, whenever they can in most cases. Mine is a gentle giant for the most part.
