No, the red in the fins is always there. The yellow version costs only half or less than the red version of L25.
 
im not really a pleco fan but that is a very nice specimen
 
There is no yellow version...the young scarlets just appear yellowish in the fins until the reach an appropriate size in which such bright red markings won't warrant them an automatic free snack for fishing birds and the like....unless you're talking about L-24, which is a totally different species.

BTW, psuedas are notoriously slow growers. I fish this size is at least 7 years old, if not much, much more.
