New to this forum, but have been keeping Cichlids for the last 10 years. Just recently upgraded from a 46 bowfront to a 125 (got it free!:headbang2) Anyway here are some of the first pictures of the tank. Today I took a trip to my local state park for some rock hunting and added 6 peacocks and another 25lbs of gravel and some fake plants. My g/f has the digital camera and is out of town with friends so I won't have any current pics until she gets back Tuesday. Currently it's a mixed tank of Africans and South Americans (have kids that like to pick fish out for my tank ;) ) I'm going to be giving the South Americans to my future mother-in-law (gave her my 46). Here's my current stock list (sorry if I don't know the exact species name)
1 7" 6 stripe Front (Have had him since little and can't get rid of him)
1 7" Peacock (Bright orange body/fins, blue face) ID please?
1 5" Peacock (85% bright yellow 15% blue body/fins, blue jaws yellow head) ID please?
1 4" Regal
1 5" Mbuna
1 2" Polleni (growing out for a future 220 monster tank)
1 4" Jewel
3 3" Juvi Peacocks (not sure what they are yet, no id from LFS)
1 4.5" Texas
1 2" Green Terror
1 2" Jack Dempsey (nice color already)
2 6" std. Pleco's

The tank looks a million times better and completely different, and I don't have pics of the peacocks yet but they'll be up soon!

nice setup that texas is gonna be looker when hes older

Thanks! I love my Texas, I've had him for around 6-7 mo. I really wish I had a camera, my tank looks like crap in these pics. Looks like a different tank now, like a 6' slice of river/lake in my living room :D

you might wanna consider getting rid of the texas, polleni, and green terror(or acara?) because theyre going to get very large(compared to africans) and have completely different needs.

I'm going to be doing a 220 in wall in the basement Theater/family room on the lower level of my house. While they're small they'll be in a 46 soon. Once they grow out of that I should have the 220 ready, I'm going to leave the Polleni in my 125 until it gets to be a threat for my other fish.

Nice looking africans! I would also suggest that you remove the SA /CA fish. The landscape look really nice too!:headbang2

Thanks! The SA/CA's will be coming out shortly, probablly going in my in laws tank.
