MY 125 GAL TANK

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Wow how big is that fire eel?

Do you think this tank in the video is overstocked right now?

I dont have any trouble with the water parameters.

Everybody says and every pet store talks about and has huge pacus

I have had mine for over 3 years and he isnt that big.

The fire eel in the previous pic is around 3 feet long, the bala sharks are a foot long. There is also a display with some pacu, all between 24" and 30". True Monsters.

As far as being overstock right now....your probably ok, if ya have good filtration and your water params are good. with that many fish I would imagine you are doing at least weekly 50% water changes in order to keep your nitrates below 40ppm.

With the growth poteintal of the Pacu , ID shark and fire eel you are headed for big problems. I would focus on keeping one of those three in the 300 gallon with a few of your cichlids.

A pic of pacu from the "Downtown Aquarium" in Denver

The natural color gravel is definitly a plus, can't wait to see the new driftwood. Don't care much for the block structure on the left though, is it flagstone? I would arrange it to look more natural. Of course I favor the natural look. Here is a pic of my tank with flagstone.
