My 125 SA tank (mostly)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Everyone is still doing great and the geos are having some fin slapping to get the pecking order in order. Question though, any good way apart from water changes to clear up the tank? The green-orange color is really killing it for me atm...

Regular large water changes and activated carbon helps.
It takes forever so be patient.

You can add some carbon in the filter to clear put some of the tint. Over time, the wood shouldnt leach as much. Just keep wc's up until it goes away. Frankly, I like the tint. It makes it more natural imho.

Thanks guys. I do like the natural feel but it could be dialed back a bit. It is my living room display tank. My wife is killing it with my new camera. Once I get it hooked up to my laptop I'll get some killer pics up of the geos and everything else.

Coming along great Buphy, can't wait to see the bedroom tank all set up. I've given up on the staining in my tanks. Fought it with carbon for awhile, now I'm just waiting for it to run its course

Cool. I'll look into it. New AC110 should be in in a week or so so I can try new stuff then. Got a pic with my phone of the most colorful tapajo juvie during feeding.

You should look at the probiotics sticky in the general aquaria section. Great read

It works. I noticed that the same filters i had to clean every week now go for 2 or 3 weeks without been cleaned. Infact the ac on my 150 hasnt been cleaned in almost a month
