i have about 50 convicts, some tetras, plecos and 2 oscars in my 125. i just got the oscars today and they are about 3"-4" right now. but i was wondering if they may not get along later down the line. i remember reading something about male + male = bad, m + f = ok etc. does anyone have any info on this? i would really like to keep both of them.

It is likely they will be ok together in a 125. 50 convicts? Damn, thats a lot. You will definitely have to get rid of some of those. lol. How big are the Oscars and Convicts?

haha no its not a typo. i used to breed the convicts and dump them in the 125 when i had piranha. i recently sold the piranha and there are about 50 or so (down from 200-300) cons in there. they are mostly still a cm to an inch, as the piranha picked off the biggest ones. but theres a few that are pushing 2.5 inches. i figure that the oscars will slim them down within the next few months, but if not i will give them away (that will be fun trying to fish all those little guys out)

well last night 2 neons went missing. i dont expect the third to last long. ive also seen them chasing the convicts, but theres too many to know if they are getting them or not. they seem to be doing well. they follow eachother around quite a bit. dont seem to be "sulking" much either. theyve eaten a few pellets, but one of them doesnt seem too fond of them, lol.

full tank shot. as you can see the three swords have made their way to the top...

Well, I would say that they might not be eating pellets to well because you've stocked the tank with feeders! ;) Nice tank btw.

the darker one is either sulking or there may be something wrong with him. the albino is fine and has learned what feeding time is. the dark one seems kinda out of it. he doesnt move much, seems 'wobbly' in terms of staying vertical, and frequently sits right at the surface with labored breathing like hes trying to get oxygen because of nitrite poisoning or something. he also has mild fin rot, more than the albino. i put a little salt in. he may just be sulking though so well see.

DO A BIG WATER CHANGE!!!!!!!!!! DONT JUST ADD SALT!!!!!
