well whatever his problem is (if there is in fact a problem) came with him from the store. my water params are fine, and i just did about an 80% water change the day before i got the oscars, when i had to get the piranhas out. added plenty of prime, the tanks been running for over 2 years, and the bioload is much much less now than it was with 9 8" pygos. i bet my nitrates are under 10 or 15 ppm.D-Train;2746416; said:
heres an update. yesterday i got most of the convicts out. i kept the biggest male and biggest female that had already paired off. there are also about 5 very small juvy convicts that i missed, but hopefully the oscars will munch them before they get too big. i took the 40 or so convicts to my lfs and he gave me a 4-5" JD he had priced at $20. i was happy with that.
so now i have the 2 oscars, a JD, a pair of convicts, a couple plecos, a black skirt tetra (im going to add 4 more), and 5 very small cons that hopefully wont last. The JD seems to be causing a little trouble though. I think its a male, as it has a bump on the forehead? i saw him facing off with the big male convict and fighting. ive also seen the albino oscar run him off several times, but the JD seems submissive to the oscars. should i take the female convict out? I was hoping to have them breed, even though the fry wont make it, but if it will cause aggression problems ill just take the female out. anyone have any thoughts? and do you think this is a good stocking for a 125?

Ya He's Right do a bigger than Normal Water change like 70%.. and make sure u check ur levels before and after the water change then weekely there after.
