Both tanks look really good I might do a stand for my 125 like your I like the way it looks. The other tank looks good too I just can't wait to see the tanks full and fish swimming in it.

Added a whole bunch more plants, did a water change, and put my BGK, Syno, and L128 in the tank! I left the Raphael in the quarantine tank to starve him for a few days as well as have an ammonia source. Pics to come later on tonight. Anyone have a really good source for Angels? I was considering Angelfish USA, but I'd like to hear some reviews. I really want some Koi and Marble Veils. :)

Here's a pic of the tank now. I'm not going to give them full lights for a week or so. The L128 comes out rarely, but I haven't seen the Syno since I put it in. It's a ridiculously good hider though. Oddly enough, my BGK is the most personable, for my tank anyway. It'll be nice to see some activity when I find the Angels I want.

Wife let me order 2 Hydor Nano 425 circulation pumps today! Now I just have to wait until next year to get my 2217/Coralife TT 18w combo. I've never set up a circulation pump, but I imagine it'll be simple enough to direct current for poop movement.

I finally sat down with all the receipts...Considering I had to buy more finishing stuff than I should have, I didn't do too bad. The total came to $335. If I would have taken more time on it, I could have probably done a bit better on costs. On the plus side, this project has sparked my interest enough to try making a hobby/business out of it while I'm going to school. A few of the local shops said they'd put the word out and may have me do some builds through them. I'm not counting on it to make me rich, so it should be a lot of fun. :)

Found some receipts I missed...Ouch lol...The real total is $440. It's still not terribly bad though.

Did you spray a stain on the stand and canopy? Any tips on how to finish the wood after? There was some mention of wool, orange peels and clear?

It looks beautiful by the way. Do you have a total of material cost? I know that molding definitely ran up the bill big time.

The stain was sprayed, let sit, and then wiped off. It was just much quicker to spray it rather than brush or rag it on. The clear coat problems were user error. The steel wool was just used to slowly take layers of clear off to get a smoother finish.
