Was at the Lfs today. Some one was going to give him to the Lfs since the store was limited on space the owner asked if I wanted to take it. Right now it's qted in a 75 while I set up a pond for it.

Should I make the tank as bare as possible so it's not bumping into stuff?

Just me or is that fish really thin? Might not be a bad idea to keep it bare, but IME blind cats like tsn don't have any real issues so long as they still have their barbels to feel and taste around. Those mixed with their extremely sensitive lateral line is why most catfish barely have functional eyes as it is. Should be fine blind. Pic is a lil blurry but looks pretty thin to me.

I agree with with Necro On both counts. Way to thin and should be fine

I also agree with this. I had an eyeless TSN once and it out competed all my other fish for food. It learned the sound of the canopy opening and would hit the food as soon as it hit the water.
