Thanks for the compliments on him and no its not his bday yet aha . And yea the sand does wash his color out alot . What do u guys recommemd to put to make his color pop? Cuz i like sand n hate gravel . Nd i feed him massivore once a day nd water change once a month now i used to do everyweek when he was smaller but now i do once a month .

If you are set on using sand, try to get it in a darker tone....or put some darker large stones in the tank to help break up the brightness of the white sand.

Black/Gray mix would be good...his colors would really "pop" I think.
