My 1500gal plywood build (pics)

Just by the glass and get it cut into strips. then build a wooden frame and plce the glass in it. Silicone the glass together and when the silicone drys remove the wooden frame.

I am tempted. A 24" wide by 5ft tall hex tank would look pretty ba as a reef tank.....but again acrylic would be expensive not to mention I don't have a table saw to cut the pieces at the right angle

I'd do it with glass and get a glazier to cut it.

Man, it took me about 30 mins to read this WHOLE thread! everything looks great. I really want an indoor pond now. although i might be tempted to do an entire indoor discus pond. THAT WOULD BE SCARY!
I liked the cap idea for sealing the pump intakes. Smart. Everything in your setup was done with a lot of though, i can tell. You definitely made things simple so there would be less complication later down the road. I definitely will be building a 1500gal someday.

Thanks for the compliments blueblaze. A discus pond would be great and the only one on mfk ;)

good job!

Good call on the tiled bottom as the fish is able to pop out visually. Another good call on the stone walls, nice touch.

I added 10lbs of ceramic media to the sump today. Need about 150lbs more to get the amount of submerged media I want, but it's pretty expensive so it will take some time
