Nice tank, Really nice, I'm planning to make a tank quite like yours and put my convicts in there and let them fill the tank with beautiful young fry ( My connies are really bright). And I'm going to put a Moon light in there. Nice fish Too.... But mine is going to be about 5 foot long and fat.

Ya, be careful breeding pairs in community tanks can cause real problems, after the convicts spawn I'll remove the female and fry. Also it looks as if my FMs are preparing to spawn, I'll remove their fry also.

Thats a nice setup, good length, would be even better if it was 2 foot wide.

Yes 2 foot would be better, but 3 foot would be awesome. Ofcourse then my aros would be in there though.

How do manage that they all get along? Is it the size of the tank and/or the amount of decorations? Both? I'm thinking especially of the Convict and other fish. My Convict and Firemouth don't get along no matter what I try.

I think the size of the tank has the most to do with it. Arrangement of the decor is important, it needs to provide hidding spots and visual barriers.

Anybody know where I can get a female Paratilapia polleni?

yeh i love the tank, how big is it?
also think all yourfish are owsome we got a 7.5" GT yesterday and its already the boss.
